National Shooting Centre Stickledown
The longest range on the Bisley Complex, Stickledown features 50 targets which can be hired at distances from 800 to 1200 yards. Stickledown is also the home of the Bisley Buffalo target.
In addition to the 50 manually pulled targets, Stickledown has the capacity to offer electronic targets.
1100x and 1200x are restricted to certain dates of the year. Please visit the long range dates page for more information.

Danger area: Full Danger Area (FDA)
Distance: 800 – 1200yds
Targets:

  • 50 lanes at 800 – 1100yds
  • 25 lanes (21-33 and 39-50) at 1200yds
  • Buffalo target (lane 51)
  • Butt Zero range is located on the LHS of Stickledown
  • 11 Intarso Electronic Targets
    • Lanes 21-26 usually at 900x
    • Lanes 46-50 usually at 1000x
    • Target 50 is fitted with a shot detection system and in the unlikely case of a miss will identify the fall of shot (please note the shot detection system will not detect sub sonic projectiles).

Additional notes:

  • There is no firing facility forward of the 800yd firing point.
  • There is a road which cuts between firing points 30 and 31 for access in to Bisley Shooting Ground.

The Ranges are open every day except for Mondays. Start and end times are signalled by the hooter. The times vary as follows:

    Where you can shoot anywhere from 25yds to 1200yds with a good bunch of likeminded people. Very interesting buildings on site to show the age of the place.
