About the Range

Melville is a Gallery Rifle and Pistol range. Consisting of five bays, bays A-E, Melville is extremely popular for Club days, individual bookings and Gallery Rifle competitions.

Bay A contains seven book-by-the-hour lanes, of which consist of advancing electronic target systems, which can then set to the specific distance you require. Bays B-E contain turning target systems, and have 25m and 50m firing points.

Firearms Permitted

Type: Gallery rifles and pistols. Airguns are permitted.

Maximum Muzzle Velocity: 655 m/s (2150 ft/s)
Maximum Muzzle Energy: 2030 J (1496 ft lb)

Not Permitted:

22 Hornet
.17 HMR
300 Blackout
300 Whisper

Special Requirements

Permission to use a muzzle brake, must be notified in the booking request and granted by the Range Office.

There are multiple toilets attached to the range, accessible from the car park

Parking:

There is a large car park situated to the front of the range, and overflow car parking in the BSRC car park
The car park contains a number of 'Disabled Parking' bays

Ramped entrances to the range support disibility access.

Hard targets are not permitted.

Please note, for each booking on Melville Bay A, one target is provided with your booking. For additional targets, these are classed as extras, and additional charges apply; these should be highlighted in your booking. Bays B-E bookings do not include any targets, and will have to be added as extras in your booking also.

Costs

Bay A - £21.00 per hour / £74.00 AM/PM
Bay B-E weekday - £45.00 per hour / £112.00 AM, £101.50 PM
Bay B-E weekend - £45.00 per hour / £128.50 AM/PM
Additional standard target board £6.00

How to Book

Select the range as either 'Melville Bay A (Hourly)', 'Melville Bay A' (for AM/PM sessions, 'Melville Bay' (for bays B-E AM/PM sessions), or 'Melville Bay' (for hourly options).

Select the number of lanes as required, and the timings (applicable for hourly bookings only; for full 'Sessions' please select AM or PM).
